Police say a man who broke into the British pub where he used to work in Texas had to be John Caldwellrescued when he got stuck in a grease vent.

Firefighters were able to free the 43-year-old man from the grease vent at the Red Lion Pub in Houston after he broke into the restaurant through the roof on Sept. 7, Houston police told USA TODAY on Friday.

The pub told authorities the man used to work there but had been fired.
